Raymour & Flanagan Escapes Suit Over Furniture Sales

Law360 (March 24, 2011, 8:48 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a proposed class action accusing Raymour and Flanigan Furniture Co. of not telling customers that they could pay less for furniture if they paid with cash rather than with a no-interest credit card.

Judge Richard Arcara said in an order filed Thursday that the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York did not have jurisdiction over the suit because it could not be brought under the federal Truth in Lending Act.
