Northrop Dodges Bid To Revive Boat Fraud Claims

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 8:47 PM EDT) -- Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding Inc. on Monday dodged a whistleblower's attempt to revive claims in Texas federal court that the company, along with Lockheed Martin Corp., cheated the government out of $96 million by supplying worthless vessels to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Judge Reed O'Connor of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas knocked down former Lockheed engineer Michael DeKort's attempt to have the court reconsider its November decision to toss claims against Northrop Grumman.
