Comcast, Pepsi, Others Hit With Database Patent Suit

Law360 (April 5, 2011, 1:57 PM EDT) -- DataTern Inc. filed another infringement suit Monday in Texas over one of its relational database patents, this time targeting a wide range of corporate giants including Comcast Corp., Harley-Davidson Inc. and PepsiCo Inc.

The complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accuses the companies of infringing U.S. Patent Number 5,937,402, one of two relational database patents DataTern has lately been asserting against various firms in federal court.
