Safehouse.[1] The U.S. Department of Justice had brought suit against nonprofit Safehouse for violation of Title 21 of the U.S. Code, Section 856, stemming from its approach to overdose prevention. Safehouse engaged in what it called "medically supervised consumption" of illicit drugs as part of its "harm reduction strategies" by providing a "designated consumption room" where drug users can consume illegal drugs under the supervision of Safehouse employees.[2]...
