Quest Settles Suit Over Unpaid Cell Phone Expenses

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 10:08 PM EDT) -- Quest Diagnostics Inc. agreed to settle a putative wage-and-hour class action in California on Friday brought by former Quest mobile technicians who say they were not compensated for their cell phone expenses while on the road.

The proposed class of phlebotomist floaters, or mobile technicians who draw blood, filed the settlement agreement in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California that released claims against the laboratory services provider.
