States Ordered To Amend LCD Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (April 11, 2011, 9:39 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday directed Arkansas, Wisconsin, Missouri, West Virginia and Michigan to amend their complaint accusing technology companies of engaging in a price-fixing conspiracy for liquid crystal display monitors in TVs and computers.

Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California also threw out Arkansas' claim under the state's Deceptive Trade Practices Act because the court had earlier held the law did not apply to price-fixing.
