McDonald’s Tries To Fry Happy Meal False Ad Action

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 6:50 PM EDT) -- McDonald’s Corp. urged a California federal court Monday to nix a putative class action that accuses the fast food giant of violating state consumer protection laws by using toys to market nutritionally poor Happy Meals directly to children.

McDonald’s claims that the parent who brought the allegations, Monet Parham, has not alleged any actual harm to herself or her children and that the suit is the work of a public interest group pushing a policy agenda against Happy Meal toys.
