Ex-Milberg Partner Seeks Dismissal Of Fraud Claims

Law360, New York (May 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Steven Schulman, the former Milberg Weiss & Bershad partner accused by the U.S. of paying illegal kickbacks to clients serving as lead plaintiffs in securities class actions, has requested a federal court dismiss the fraud allegations against him, in a move that could tear down the government’s case.

Schulman alleged that the parties bringing the shareholder suits against him in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California did not suffer any harm, according to Schulman’s motion filed in court on April 27....
