FedEx, Delta Sued Over Web Communication IP

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Security tech company Network Signatures Inc. sued FedEx Corp. and Delta Air Lines Inc. in California on Thursday for allegedly infringing its patent covering secure Web communication.

The complaints accuse FedEx and Delta of infringing U.S. Patent Number 5,511,122, titled "Intermediate network authentification," which covers an authentication method that lets information to be safely transferred between computers, and seeks damages and injunctive relief.
