Northwest Unions Appeal CBA Ruling

Law360, New York (May 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Unions for Northwest Airline Corp. pilots and flight attendants have appealed a federal bankruptcy judge’s decision to uphold $195 million in pay cuts even though the flight attendants union has already tentatively agreed to a new deal.

The Air Line Pilots Association and the International and Association of Flight Attendants appealed a ruling which allowed Northwest to reject its collective bargaining agreement with the flight attendants. The appeal was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
