Golfer Daly Sues Hippo To Collect $1.5M IP Judgment

Law360, New York (May 5, 2011, 2:08 PM EDT) -- Pro golfer John Daly filed suit against Hippo Golf Co. Inc. on Wednesday in California federal court, seeking to enforce a $1.5 million judgment that Daly obtained against the company in a trademark case in a Florida court in 2009.

In 2009, the Florida court granted Daly summary judgment that Hippo, with which he previously had an endorsement deal, illegally continued using his name and likeness on its website after the deal ended.
