US Soccer Federation Fights Subpoena Of Ex-Atty

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 6:45 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Soccer Federation and Major League Soccer LLC, locked in an antitrust suit with defunct ChampionsWorld LLC, said Monday that it is too late for ChampionsWorld to subpoena USSF's former outside U.S. legal counsel.

New Jersey-based ChampionsWorld, which promoted and marketed professional soccer matches between 2001 and 2005, alleges in its $8 million lawsuit that collusion between USSF and MLS drove it out of business in 2005.
