Whole Foods Latest Target Of Worker Seating Suits

Law360, New York (May 19, 2011, 1:10 PM EDT) -- Whole Foods Market Inc. was hit with a proposed class action in California state court on Tuesday claiming the health food chain did not provide proper seating accommodations for workers, becoming the latest retailer targeted in a litany of similar suits.

Plaintiff James Hamilton, a Whole Foods cashier, claims that the grocery chain violated California regulations requiring employers to provide employees with seats if the work allows it.
