EMI, Music Publishers Settle Suit Over Bieber Song

Law360, New York (May 20, 2011, 12:53 PM EDT) -- EMI Music Publishing reached a settlement in New York on Wednesday with two music managers who claimed they had a contract for the rights to a song recorded by teenage superstar Justin Bieber.

Vance Tate and Thomas Oliveira, doing business as New East Management Group, accused EMI and others of copyright infringement and breach of contract for allegedly failing to hand over a cut of the profits from the Bieber song "One Less Lonely Girl.” U.S. District Judge John G.
