Gap, Banana Republic Latest Targets In Seating Suits

Law360, New York (May 24, 2011, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Gap Inc. and Banana Republic LLC on Thursday became the latest retailers hit with a lawsuit in California state court claiming the clothing manufacturers did not provide proper seating accommodations for workers.

Banana Republic sales associate Shaun Anderson claims that the company — a division of Gap — violated California regulations requiring employers to provide employees with seats if the work allows it.
