Corbis Prevails In 'Partridge Family' Star Image Suit

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 2:25 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in California on Wednesday granted Corbis Corp. summary judgment in a putative class action brought by actress Shirley Jones, star of the 1970s TV show "The Partridge Family," who accused the company of violating her right of publicity.

U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson rejected Jones' claim that Corbis violated her right of publicity by displaying images of her on its website.
