Cisco Sued Over Router Technology Patents

Law360, New York (November 2, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- A small intellectual property holding company in Florida has sued computer-networking equipment maker Cisco Systems Inc. in federal court, alleging that Cisco infringed on patents for routing technology.

ConnecTel LLC filed suit in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District in Marshall. The complaint seeks unspecified damages, but an attorney for ConnecTel was quoted by the Wall Street Journal as saying potential damages could run into the "hundreds of millions, if not billions" of dollars.
