Court Tells American Airlines To Put Fares On Orbitz

Law360, New York (June 2, 2011, 1:51 PM EDT) -- American Airlines Inc.’s ongoing antitrust and contract battles with Orbitz Worldwide LLC and Travelport Ltd. became more complex on Wednesday when an Illinois state judge ordered the airline to return its fares to the online travel site.

The judge entered an injunction against American Airlines, noting that the court had erred in a December ruling in the contract fight between the airline and Travelport by refusing to grant an injunction preventing the airline from terminating its contracts with Orbitz.
