Dynegy Exec's Attorney Wins Case Over Fees

Law360 (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The attorney who defended former Dynegy Inc. chief Jamie Olis will collect $2.5 million from the company, after a Texas state court ruled that the energy company had wrongly cut off Olis’ defense funds.

On May 16, after a three week trial, a Houston jury ruled in favor of defense attorney Terry Yates, finding that Dynegy committed civil fraud by withholding money earmarked for the defense of executives.
