Ex-Pfizer Reps Seek Classes For NY, Calif., Ill.

Law360, New York (June 10, 2011, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Former Pfizer Inc. sales representatives suing the pharmaceutical giant over unpaid overtime wages asked a federal judge Thursday to certify separate classes in New York, California and Illinois, arguing that the allegedly stiffed employees were all misclassified as exempt from additional pay.

The plaintiffs, who filed suits in the three states that were recently consolidated in New York, said the case should be heard on a classwide basis based on similar job responsibilities and requirements.
