Texas High Court Nixes $3M Bic Lighter Defect Verdict

Law360, New York (June 20, 2011, 2:19 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday reversed a $3 million judgment in favor of a woman who said a manufacturing defect in a Bic Pen Corp. cigarette lighter allowed her son to set fire to her daughter's dress, causing severe injuries.
