Disney Sued Over Digital Photo System Patent

Law360, Los Angeles (June 21, 2011, 9:01 PM EDT) -- The company led by the founder of Priceline.com Inc. struck again Friday, filing a patent infringement suit in Delaware federal court targeting The Walt Disney Co. over its theme park PhotoPass service.

The suit, filed by Walker Digital LLC, alleges that Disney's PhotoPass service, which digitally stores customer photographs shot by professional photographers at Disney theme parks, infringes U.S. Patent Number 7,924,323.

Walker Digital, founded by Jay Walker, seeks unspecified damages and a permanent injunction blocking Disney from continuing to use the PhotoPass system.
