General Dynamics Settles Suit Over Alleged Navy Scheme

Law360, New York (June 21, 2011, 7:08 PM EDT) -- General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Corp. on Monday resolved a whistleblower action in California accusing it of fraudulently underreporting the value of scrap metal used in executing several shipbuilding and repair contracts for the U.S. Navy.

In a motion asking the court to suspend proceedings, NASSCO and relator Sean McCurdy, a former forklift driver for the company, said the parties had reached a confidential settlement on June 6.
