Renzi Ruling May Force High Court To Address Immunity

Law360, New York (June 27, 2011, 7:24 PM EDT) -- In refusing last week to dismiss corruption charges against a former Arizona congressman, the Ninth Circuit broke with the D.C. Circuit over the extent to which lawmakers enjoy immunity from prosecutions linked to legislative acts, likely setting up a U.S. Supreme Court showdown on the issue, attorneys say.
