Class Certified In ERISA Case Vs. HSBC

Law360, New York (May 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. District judge has granted class certification to employees of a computer consulting company who claim that HSBC Bank failed to pay them wages and pension plan contributions for two years after it took over the company.

Judge Laura Taylor Swain of the Southern District of New York on Monday certified a class of Silverline Technologies Ltd. employees for their Employee Retirement Income Security Act and New Jersey Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act claims against HSBC Bank and restructuring firm Getzler & Co.
