GAO Backs Protest Of DIA Linguistics Work Award

Law360, New York (July 1, 2011, 7:24 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office said in a decision released Friday that it had upheld Mission Essential Personnel LLC's bid protest alleging the Defense Intelligence Agency improperly evaluated contract proposals for translation and linguistic services for the National Media Exploitation Center.

The GAO said in the decision, originally made June 14, that the DIA failed to evaluate resumes that bidders were required to submit for key personnel pursuant to the terms of the request for proposals. Those resumes made up one of several nonprice factors in...
