AIG, Insurance Pool Trade Suits Over Workers Comp

Law360, New York (May 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Insurance giant American International Group has been hit with a lawsuit alleging the company bilked a workers compensation insurers group out of nearly $1 billion by underreporting workers compensation premiums.

The National Workers Compensation Reinsurance Pool, a group composed of 600 providers of workers insurance, filed the suit on Thursday in the U.S. District for the Northern District of Illinois.
