Sales Workers Sue Yellow Pages Publisher Over OT

Law360, New York (July 6, 2011, 5:43 PM EDT) -- A group of former call center sales associates at SuperMedia Inc. filed a class action against the prominent yellow pages publisher Friday in Texas, claiming it failed to properly pay overtime.

SuperMedia, which publishes a yellow pages phone directory for Verizon Communications Inc. and is known for its SuperPages brand, did not include employees' commission in its regular rate used to calculate overtime — a “blatant violation” of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, according to the complaint.
