Poison Singer’s Tony Award Injury Suit Moved To NY

Law360, New York (July 7, 2011, 2:41 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday transferred rocker Bret Michaels' lawsuit over a head injury he suffered at the 2009 Tony Awards, saying that the case should be heard in New York, where the accident happened.

U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee granted a motion by the defendants, Tony Awards Productions and CBS Entertainment, to move the case to New York. Michaels filed the suit in March in Los Angeles Superior Court, and the case was quickly moved to federal court in L.A.
