US Beats Suit Over Small Business Tent Contract

Law360, New York (July 14, 2011, 3:30 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Federal Claims on Wednesday tossed a suit brought by Outdoor Venture Corp. to prevent the U.S. Department of Defense from killing a contract for combat tents because its subcontractor did not qualify as a small business.

Outdoor Venture asked the court to block the Defense Logistics Agency from terminating a four-year, small-business set-aside contract for military tents and to require the U.S. Small Business Administration to reassess a finding that the partnership between Outdoor Venture and its subcontractor Johnson Outdoors Gear LLC...
