Random House Scores End To 'Super Bowl Shuffle' Suit

Law360, New York (July 15, 2011, 7:20 PM EDT) -- The owner of the copyrights to the music and video for the 1985 Chicago Bears' "Super Bowl Shuffle" on Thursday settled a suit in Illinois accusing Random House Inc. of false advertising and violating a royalty contract.

Attorneys for copyright owner Julia Meyer and Random House filed a stipulation of dismissal in Illinois federal court, ending the dispute over a commemorative book that contained an insert of a "Super Bowl Shuffle" CD.
