CBS Sues Writer For Taking Legal Drama To NBC

Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 4:21 PM EDT) -- CBS Television Studios accused writer Lukas Reiter in California on Tuesday of breaching his contract to develop a TV-series sequel to the hit novel and movie "The Firm" by selling a nearly identical project to rival network NBC.

CBS sued Reiter, his production company and his distribution partner Entertainment One Ltd., seeking compensatory and punitive damages for a series of contract claims.
