NFL Draft Pick's Ex-Agent Sues Over Expenses

Law360, Los Angeles (July 27, 2011, 4:27 PM EDT) -- St. Louis Rams draft pick Robert Quinn, his business partner and sports agents were sued Monday in Texas by Quinn's former agent, who seeks to prevent the player's new representatives from negotiating his first NFL contract until a financial dispute is settled.

Carl Carey Jr., who runs the sports firm Champion Pro Consulting Group Inc., claims Quinn owes him approximately $300,000 for travel, housing and other expenses incurred while Quinn prepared for the 2011 NFL Draft. Quinn informed Carey on Friday that he was being terminated...
