Swift Drivers Lose 9th Circ. Arbitration Row

Law360, New York (July 27, 2011, 3:27 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit said Wednesday that it could not force an Arizona federal court to rule on whether a proposed class of truck drivers accusing Swift Transportation Co. of labor violations is exempt from arbitration provisions in the company’s operator agreements.
