J-M Blasts Temp Atty Use In McDermott Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (August 3, 2011, 6:04 PM EDT) -- J-M Manufacturing Co. Inc. last week amended its malpractice suit in California against McDermott Will & Emery LLP, adding claims that its former counsel inadequately supervised temp attorneys who improperly released sensitive documents to an ex-employee in a False Claims Act suit.

J-M launched its suit on June 1, saying that it had been harmed when 3,900 sensitive documents were improperly turned over to the U.S. Department of Justice, which then turned the documents over to a former employee engaged in an FCA suit over allegedly defective sewer piping sold to many municipalities.
