Horror Writer Targets Fox In 'Past Life' Script Fight

Law360, New York (August 9, 2011, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Horror movie screenwriter Stevan Mena launched a copyright lawsuit against Fox Entertainment Group Inc., Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and others Friday in New York federal court, accusing them of stealing his screenplay and turning it into the failed TV series "Past Life."

Mena accuses writer and producer David Hudgins of plagiarizing the crime drama series based on Mena's screenplay “Transience." In addition to Fox and Warner Bros., he is suing the producers of the short-lived television series, according to the suit.
