Pizza Chains, GrubHub Sued Over Dining Sales Patent

Law360, New York (August 15, 2011, 6:47 PM EDT) -- Pizza Hut Inc., GrubHub Inc. and other companies that allow users to order from restaurants online are among the targets of a patent suit filed Monday in California by Ameranth Inc., which sells wireless systems for the hospitality market.

Ameranth claims the defendants are infringing two patents for technology that allows customers to order online, among other features. The two patents were found invalid by a jury last year in a different suit brought by Ameranth, and the company is appealing.
