Cheesecake Factory Janitors Sue For Training, OT Pay

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 7:27 PM EDT) -- A putative class of janitors sued maintenance services contractor Marotto Corp. in California state court Tuesday for allegedly failing to pay janitors working at Cheesecake Factory restaurants during training and for work performed after they'd clocked out.

In a complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, the janitors said they were required to work for no pay during the first three days of employment, which Marotto called "training."
