Verizon Threatens To Suspend Striking Workers' Benefits

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 7:26 PM EDT) -- Verizon Communications Inc. told 45,000 striking workers on Tuesday that their health care benefits will be cut at the end of the month unless they leave the picket line and return to their jobs.

The striking workers stand to lose their medical, dental and prescription drug benefits, according to Verizon and union officials.
