Chipotle Misled Consumers Over Bacon In Beans: Suit

Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 1:08 PM EDT) -- Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. was hit with a putative class action in California on Friday accusing the restaurant chain of misleading consumers into believing that its pinto beans are vegetarian, even though they are cooked with bacon.

In a complaint in Los Angeles County court, named plaintiff Kevin Shenkman, who is a vegetarian and Jewish, contends  Chipolte failed to adequately inform customers in the state that the pinto beans are prepared with and contain pork or bacon.
