Disney Fights Back In Workers' 'Sprawling' Seating Action

Law360, New York (August 30, 2011, 4:55 PM EDT) -- Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc. fired back Thursday at employees who filed a class action in California state court claiming it failed to provide adequate seating, saying the "sprawling" suit belongs in federal court.

In its notice of removal, Disney said the proposed class consisted of thousands of employees working in hundreds of different locations at different jobs, and the notion that one common answer for whether the employees' seating arrangements are lawful was a fatal premise.
