Parties Spar As Bed, Bath & Beyond Suit Nears Trial

Law360 (June 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two department store operators accused of conspiring to boycott their rival Bed, Bath & Beyond have attempted to prevent the plaintiffs in the proposed antitrust class action from gaining relief from certain guidelines for the trial, which is set to begin next week.

Federated Department Stores Inc. and May Department Stores Co. asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday to deny the plaintiffs’ motions to lengthen their opening and closing statements and to seek relief from disclosing exhibits.
