Food Makers Become New Targets Of Health Suits

Law360 (June 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mounting threats of lawsuits against the food and beverage industry raise questions about the extent to which the industry is liable for unhealthy products, lawyers say.

Food industry bigwigs such as Kellogg Co., Burger King Corp. and Coca-Cola Co. have all been threatened in recent months with lawsuits accusing them of encouraging addictions to unhealthy, fattening food.
