Las Vegas Sands Fights Ruling In Investor Fraud Action

Law360, New York (September 9, 2011, 2:55 PM EDT) -- Las Vegas Sands Corp. on Wednesday again attempted to toss fraud claims from a putative class action alleging the casino operator artificially inflated stock prices, claiming a judge improperly allowed the suit to go forward by relying on flawed evidence.

Sands filed a motion asking a Nevada federal court to reconsider its August decision to keep the proposed class action alive, saying the court pushed through fraud claims based on conjecture despite the judge’s doubts on the ultimate viability of those claims.
