Schwarzenegger Vows To Sue EPA

Law360, New York (June 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday a lawsuit forcing the Environmental Protection Agency to act on California’s bid to implement stricter vehicle emissions standards was “inevitable.”

The Republican governor fired a letter off to EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson about the certitude of a lawsuit after Johnson gave testimony before an ad hoc House of Representatives global warming committee on June 8, saying he would not decide on the state’s application until the fall of 2008.
