Law360, San Diego (September 13, 2011, 6:37 PM EDT) -- An Illinois federal court agreed Tuesday to enforce an arbitrator’s award in favor of the Chicago Bears Football Club Inc. in its contract dispute with three former players, saying their workers’ compensation claims had to be filed in Illinois — not in worker-friendly California.
U.S. District Judge Elaine Bucklo rejected arguments by players Michael Haynes, Joe Odom and Cameron Worrell seeking to vacate the award and declare the law and forum restrictions of two agreements void and unenforceable.
