Comcast Attacks BT Data Networking Patents

Law360, Los Angeles (September 20, 2011, 5:09 PM EDT) -- Cable and Internet giant Comcast Corp. sued British Telecommunications PLC in Delaware federal court on Monday, seeking a declaration that it has not infringed eight of the U.K. company's data networking patents and that they are invalid.

The move comes less than three weeks after BT asked a Delaware federal judge for permission to add Comcast as a defendant in its infringement suit against Cox Communications Inc. and Cable One Inc. over the eight patents.
