Sandoz Settles Texas Drug Inflation Claims For $66M

Law360, New York (September 20, 2011, 9:12 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Tuesday tossed certain claims against Sandoz Inc. in a multidistrict litigation accusing pharmaceutical companies of reporting inflated drug values to Medicaid programs after the drugmaker settled with Texas in state court for $66 million.

U.S. District Judge Patti B. Saris signed off on an order resolving only those claims against Sandoz in the MDL relating to the federal share of Medicaid overpayments made by the Texas Medicaid program.
