Loan Servicer Chases Shady Foreclosures, Suit Claims

Law360, Chicago (September 23, 2011, 4:46 PM EDT) -- A California homeowner slapped Aurora Loan Services LLC with a putative class action Wednesday, accusing the company of illegally selling off homes through foreclosure by hiding the fact it has taken over as the creditor on mortgages for those properties.

Trang Che accuses the residential mortgage servicer — a unit Aurora Bank FSB — of violating the Truth in Lending Act by failing to provide information to homeowners regarding transfers of their mortgages, causing illegitimate foreclosures and the unnecessary loss of homes.
