NJ Assembly Passes Sweeping Global Warming Bill

Law360 (June 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New Jersey's Assembly passed a far-reaching bill aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions on Thursday, sending it to the state senate for a vote expected later that day.

As of Thursday evening, the New Jersey senate had not yet announced the result of a vote on the bill. Its supporters have been optimistic about its prospects, and the state's governor has said that he would sign it.
